what is an affiliate url?
An affiliate url is simply a url that affiliate marketers use to promote affiliate products.
How does affiliate marketing work?
Certain brands use affiliate marketing as a way to drive traffic and sales to their website. These brands will give the affiliates affiliate links and when a customer clicks an affiliate link to buy a product a cookie from the url is now in that persons browser. That was a bit of a tongue twister. That cookie can stay there for various periods of time depending on when it expires (it's different for different brands). If you buy a product from the online store that the affiliate link is affiliated with while you have the cookie in your browser, the affiliate marketer will recieve payment. I forgot to mention that their are other forms of affiliate marketing too. These include pay per call, pay per signup and much more. Our site only utilizes the pay per sale form of affiliate marketing. and these sales are tracked using affiliate links. I hope I covered that well enough please don't sue me. lol.
